Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

UK Outdoor media owner 75Media has launched a dedicated team in Scotland, with three new appointments, to keep up with its expanding portfolio of classic and digital billboards in the country.

75Media launched in Scotland earlier this year, taking on Scotland’s largest outdoor advertising structure, the M8 Tower in Glasgow, as well as the iconic Edinburgh Airport Tower which, collectively, deliver 2.5 million impacts a fortnight.

The company has 122 advertising sites being developed, with 90 now operational – 22 digital and 68 classic – on key arterials around areas including Motherwell, Paisley, Renfrew, Irvine, Newmains, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Mark Russell will head up the team as Business Director for Scotland. He has over 10 years of experience in out-of-home, previously working at Primesight, Global and Clear Channel. He brings with him extensive experience in leading and managing OOH sales teams, selling to specialists, agencies and direct clients on a local, regional, national and international level.

Ollie Paxton, who will cover the Edinburgh area as Business Development Manager, has a proven track record in OOH with over eight years spent at Exterion and Global. Ollie has experience of dealing with clients at all levels and is passionate about planning targeted out-of-home campaigns for clients.

Also joining the team is Stuart Robertson who will be Business Development Manager for Lanarkshire. Stuart has over 20 years of experience in sales at blue chip companies and media owners, including BT, Johnston Press & Mail and the Metro.

We are told that a Business Development Manager for Glasgow will also be joining the team in December.

By the end of the year, 75Media’s live digital inventory will grow to 37 in Scotland. Looking ahead to spring 2024, this figure will rise to 52, further supporting its goal of becoming the OOH market leader in Scotland.
