Whatever Happened To Dear Old Lenny?

The Embryo Studio were recently commissioned by the Arts Council to produce a piece of content aimed at inspiring the young and demonstrating how the latest technologies can be used creatively to bring young people together.

In response they produced an Augmented Reality musical game which was shown live on a tour of the BBC Big screens around the UK as well as being ‘downloadable through the Arts Council website.

The piece of work resulted in dance and collaboration; a sort of musical game scenario where the kids and adults ‘as it happens’ got down to the sound of the beat boxing monkeys.

As you can see from the video clip above, in front of the BBC Big Screen, players are able to control their own animated singing characters through the use of augmented reality technology, which uses computer-generated symbols to sync animations and graphics to the real world.
