Two days after DisplaySearch’s Digital Signage Conference is the Emerging Display Technologies Conference: Innovative Technologies Drive Growth Opportunities which will feature keynote addresses from Brian Berkeley, Vice President of Engineering, Samsung Mobile Displays Technology and Phil McKinney, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard.

The event is being held in San Jose, California on Thursday, 19th August

  • Brian Berkeley’s talk on OLED Technology for Mobile, TV, and Future Applications will give an update on the status of Samsung’s current OLED display developments and offer perspective on scale-up requirements to enable high-volume large-size OLED TV. It will also cover other applications for OLED technology, including transparent, flexible, paper thin, and robust displays.
  • Phil McKinney is responsible for long-range strategic planning and research and development (R&D) for all of Hewlett-Packard’s PC product lines, including displays, mobile devices, notebooks, desktops and workstations. His talk on 3D, Touch and the Future of Display Technologies will explore the power of touch and how it is changing the way we interact with displays, including the emergence of touch dialects and multi-modal display interaction. In addition, McKinney will share his vision for the future of 3D and immersive displays and the challenges that come with scale and interaction.

The remainder of the agenda will include presentations from industry experts with regard; Touch Screens, 3D Displays, Pocket Projection: Embedded and Stand-Alone Devices, OLED and E-Paper.
