While The Cat’s Away…
While Adrian and Andrew are away at the Montreal Icefest (I think they are doing a couple of days of work as well) I will be ‘holding the fort’ back in the UK (but like them also very excited about being in Amsterdam a week today for #iseurope).
This week I’ll go to:
- The Outdoor Advertising Association reception on the Strand on Tuesday late afternoon. I hope to see Mike Baker again and find out about the association’s plans for this year.
- On Wednesday I shall be at the Gherkin, listening to the LG sponsored POPAI Digital Signage Display Survey findings. The survey identifies where and how UK retailers are using digital signage, polling the attitudes of retailers, brand owners, shopping centres, and network operators about their plans and reasons for using digital signage in the future
- I’m looking forward also to finally meet C-nario’s CEO Tamir Ginat on Friday, to talk about his views on the market, on the company and how he’s been since taking his post as CEO of C-nario late last year.
The POPAI event will debate the results of the survey, delving deeper into issues such as the growth of digital signage, revenue generating opportunities for resellers, return on investment and what the future holds for the use of digital signage technology.
The organisers have confirmed that Mel Edwards, Senior Construction Manager North West Europe at Burger King, will be speaking at the event about how the fast food giants use digital signage in their restaurants. They have promised me I will not have to eat a cheese burger for lunch, thank God for that!
PS: the Cat is never away really, his whiskers are constantly tuned into the market, so don’t be fooled by his temporary location.
