#dse2011 – A Glance At A Few Exhibitors

We thought we’d take a quick look at a few of the many varied types of exhibitors at DSE2011:

Packed lunch and learn sessions at DSE 2011

BrightSign – Leveraging the success of its ultra-reliable solid-state digital controller line, BrightSign is now shipping two new models, the HD210w and HD1010w solid-state media controllers, with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. Designed to speed and simplify signage deployment, the network-enabled players will appeal to retailers and others who want HD digital signage solutions that are reliable and affordable, but also want increased mobility and versatility. BrightSign is demonstrating the new controllers at Booth #1019.

VIA Technologies Inc. – VIA is showing the new VIA eH1 graphics card, bringing multiple HD content streams, support for DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenGL ES 2.0 and the latest Stereoscopic 3D technologies to digital signage markets. VIA is also presenting forthcoming dedicated graphics solutions that power up to eight displays simultaneously. The VIA eH1 is a low profile PCI Express add-in-board designed for next generation embedded applications in a range of segments including digital signage and advertising, POS, POI, casino gaming or any embedded application where sophisticated graphics and HD video spans across more than one display. The VIA eH1 features the S3 Chrome 5400E GPU, power-efficient 64-bit discrete graphics solution. See VIA at Booth 2222.

Gefen – The digital connectivity solutions provider unveiled the new HD Digital Signage Creator. The HD DSC supplies all the software and hardware needed to create cutting-edge digital signage systems. This new model supports high definition video in the HDMI format at 1080p full HD for vibrant playback. A VGA port is also provided for analog systems. Users can create content with more robust features such as the layering of four RSS feeds independent of other video content on display. Enhanced video effects are also available. Any web interface gives access and control of content. Users can update, edit, access and schedule digital signage content from any browser, making mobile control a reality. See Gefen at Booth 1229.

Array interactive – The marketing technology agency providing integrated, cross platform marketing solutions fueled by technological creativity is showcasing its latest innovation: OneTouch Help, at the Cisco booth. This solution enables a Cisco Telepresence, high definition video experience to be enjoyed through an interactive touch screen leveraging Cisco’s Digital Media Suite platform. Array Interactive expects that OneTouch Help will be extremely relevant to industries like retail, healthcare and financial services where the route to revenue is influenced by high-touch, customer care interactions as well as relevant point-of-decision content. OneTouch Help enables personalized interactions between brands and audiences by allowing consumers to access live subject matter experts instantly through a touch enabled interactive digital display. They are then able to have a real time, video-based discussion through the quality and performance of Cisco Telepresence technology. iPONT International – This company, a creator, converter and distributor of 3D technology, is featuring Network Content Management Service, A scalable, 3D cloud-based content management service for digital signage applications, the iPONT NCMS helps manage networks from anywhere in the world, with training and support included for the subscription period. iPONT designed NCMS for locations such as malls, airports, convention centers and sports arenas. It is also ideal for visual entertainment experiences at cinemas, sports bars, amusement parks and casinos. iPONT is showing 3D trailers, as well as some of the company’s own original studio creations on the largest 65-inch glasses-free 3D screen (by Tridelity). Schneider Electric – The company is showing its award-winning lineup of AV power protection solutions from APC. Schneider is showing its new G Type 20 Amp Power Filter, J Type Power Conditioner with Battery Backup, and its AV Rack Enclosure. It’s a chance to learn more about the wide range of APC power protection, cooling, and power management, including the new interactive energy smart-ups line. Visit Schneider at booth 1243.

AOpen – The company is showcasing a variety of solutions to custom fit everyday needs. Technologies include its Interactive bluetooth communication, in-store digital fitting room, wireless display solution, 3D wayfinding solution, and online training system. See AOpen at booth 1809.
