Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Jumptap has named Jared Hand as its vice-president of sales.
Hand brings extensive digital sales experience to Jumptap, having led successful sales teams at a variety of leading companies including Gorilla Nation and Clear Channel. The new appointment is the latest in a series of hires for Jumptap, as the rapidly growing company has added over 23 professionals since the beginning of 2011 from companies including Apple, IAC, Time Inc, and Maxus.
Hand will oversee the growing ad sales team and work with agencies and marketers to foster new relationships and grow existing partnerships.
“I had the good fortune of working with Jared about six years ago,” says Todd Anderman, chief media and revenue officer at Jumptap. “Jared has always been a star, and over the past few years he has developed into one of the digital industry’s sales leaders. His insights, leadership and consultative style are the perfect match to serve our existing and new advertising partners.”
Over the course of Hand’s career, he has been instrumental in building and growing the digital sales teams at a variety of brands in the digital space. He joins Jumptap from Gorilla Nation, where he served as vice-president of sales. Prior to Gorilla Nation, he held the same position at Clear Channel, where he started and ran the national online sales team for the Clear Channel Online Music & Radio division. He earlier held digital sales and sales management roles at Maxim.com, About.com and DoubleClick.
“The mobile industry is the hottest segment of the digital marketplace right now and I am eager to join Jumptap as the company continues on an amazing growth path,” says Hand. “The team at Jumptap is unequalled in their ability to help advertisers reach consumers and engage with them in an actionable way to generate the greatest ROI.”
Jumptap partners with digital and media agencies, publishers, wireless carriers and brand advertisers, to deliver an array of mobile advertising solutions.
