We’ve promised ourselves that we will broaden our horizons in 2011 and 2012 and do more shows (not less), be more varied in our outlook and of course (still) continue our (hopefully) high quality of reporting.
By the time you read this our North American Editor Gail should be well on her way to NYC for the Mediapost DOOH Forum (being held on Thursday 14th April) – she will be joined at the event by one of our NYC Contributors JP Biamby who himself was covering Media Magazine’s 2011 Outfront Conference yesterday. We should have reports from the DOOH Forum up on Friday and Saturday.
Gail’s family in Montreal (okay her grand children) have dubbed her ‘travelling Grandma’ these past few months as she continues her travels on our behalf. Not only will she be in NYC this week but the week after next sees her visit San Francisco for #CETW (there she will be joined by our contributors; Dylan Jones Esq. and Manolo Almagro). Not long after that she will be in Philadelphia for the Scala event and then shortly thereafter winging her way to London to help us cover #ScreenmediaExpo (lucky Gail will be guest of honour at our Phyllis Court Club on the River Thames here in Henley on Thames).
Our European editor Geny will also be clocking up the air miles over the next month or so; if the Festival of Media organisers get their act together she will be in Montreux (cue singing ‘we all came out to Montreux, On the Lake Geneva shoreline, To make records with a mobile‘) to cover that event, before popping back to the UK for #ScreenmediaExpo before heading off again – this time to Madrid to cover the FEPE’s 52nd Congress.
Yours truly will be taking it easy, yes seriously taking it easy. I’m off to sail in the Canary Islands for the next two weeks! I’m planning to avoid a certain Royal Wedding and will be back May 3rd!!!
