outdoorplus has appointed former managing director of Ocean Outdoor Grant Branfoot as Sales Director in a newly created role. The appointment of Branfoot, we are told forms part of a clear sales, marketing and development strategy for outdoorplus following their acquisition of Big Sky Banners in March 2011. Branfoot who will be responsible for recruiting a new sales team said “this is a fantastic opportunity to help develop the next chapter for outdoorplus. My experience in the premium OOH sector will enable us to develop a fresh & innovative approach to the OOH market.”
Branfoot has a wealth of sales and commercial development experience following his five years at Ocean Outdoor. Prior to this he was joint Managing Director of Helix alongside Kinetic’s buying director Colin Bundock, before its merger into Posterscope and IPM.
outdoorplus Managing Director, Jonathan Lewis told us “I am delighted with the appointment of Grant Branfoot as Sales Director. Grant is a highly respected operator, has an excellent understanding of the OOH media business and will bring a wealth of experience to the role.”
Branfoot will start at outdoorplus in September 2011, the same time that The Eye in Holborn is launched to the London digital landscape. The screen on Proctor Street, which crosses 4 lanes of traffic, will deliver both affluent consumers and a desirable commuter audience in a high traffic, genuine central London location.
