Mississauga, Ontario-based Pattison Outdoor Advertising, has been awarded the advertising rights for the City of Saint John, New Brunswick’s Public Transit, effective Jan. 1/12, for five years with two 2-year renewal options.

The contract includes all advertising opportunities on or in the 55 Buses from Saint John Transit’s fleet. The advertising opportunities include kings, 70’s, interior cards and specialty vinyl products such as extensions, headliners, murals and full bus wraps.

“We look forward to providing our clients a ‘one stop shop’ in the Maritime Region for all their outdoor advertising needs,” says Sherry Kirwin, general manager, Atlantic, for Pattison Outdoor Advertising. “Clients can now come to Pattison Outdoor for a complete outdoor advertising campaign, whether they are booking horizontal posters, exterior digital billboards, transit shelter advertising or interior and exterior transit advertising. At Pattison, we are passionate about Transit advertising and providing advertisers with innovative ways to reach consumers.”

The Saint John Transit Commission was established in 1869 to provide scheduled transit service to the city. It is the largest public transit system in New Brunswick in terms of both mileage (covering 515 kilometres of city streets) and passengers. Ridership on Saint John’s Transit system is 2.7 million passengers per year and growing.

The addition of Saint John Transit brings Pattison’s Transit Advertising portfolio to 21 markets across Canada, including three of the four major markets in the Maritimes. Pattison now represents Halifax, Moncton and Saint John in addition to Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Oakville, Milton, Toronto, Durham Region and Ottawa Transit.
