i-design Group PLC (ATM:ad) Interim Results

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Last week i-design group (the folks behind ATM:ad) posted their interim results for the year to 30 September 2007 – they are on the UK’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

Unfortunately like many digital out of home companies on AIM, no-one really took much notice and i-design struggled to get any decent PR mentions in the business and trade press (which makes a blog such as this even more important don’t you think?).

This is a common problem and not particularly their fault – though like all AIM companies they need to spend more time getting regular (and newsworthy) stories out – and not just when they want something or think they have something to say!!! A steady stream of brands advertising on their network(s) is a good start methinks!!!

Anyway the most interesting part of the results for me was their CEO, Ana Stewart’s remarks on repeat media sales business – as we know repeat business is very important in our industry – if you can get brands to advertise with you again and again you must be doing something right.

Ana said “Advertisers who have used ATM:ad span a broad range of sectors and include local government authorities, police forces, as well blue chips companies such as British Airways, Orange, Vodafone and Nivea…. It is encouraging to see that we have added new advertisers from previously untapped industry sectors including fast moving consumer goods. I am also pleased to report that our repeat business is increasing. In June, we signed our second 12 month agreement with British Airways for advertising campaigns on selected ATMs.”
