Lamar’s RoadNinja and Digital Billboards Help Holiday Travelers

With many of the more than 35 million Americans taking to the open road for Independence Day, the RoadNinja app launched by Lamar last October is not only freeing them from stress but Lamar is also having some fun reminding them of the app on its holiday-themed digital billboards in more than 50 markets across the US..

RoadNinja is an interstate travel app that’s a must-have for road trips, available to download for free on iOS and Android devices. It helps take the guesswork out of a roadtrip.

In honor of the 4th of July, Lamar arranged new RoadNinja artwork with a patriotic feel to run on its boards, reminding drivers to use RoadNinja to see where they could eg. choose the exit with the cheapest gas, or check out gas stations that are nearby or look at stations along the route as they travel on the interstate so they don’t have to backtrack.

RoadNinja’s Interstate Directory shows drivers what’s available at any exit in the continental U.S., so they can travel more efficiently and determine the best exit for everyone in the car. It helps drivers plan their stops, avoid fighting heavy traffic trying to figure out where to go and keep everyone in the car happy.

RoadNinja is completely customizable. A driver can set the categories displayed to Shops and Sandwiches, so he knows exactly where to exit to pick up sparklers and 4th of July picnic essentials.

The travel app identifies restaurants, hotels, gas stations and more at every exit on the interstate.

A social media component allows travelers to add reviews, ratings and photos of business listings on the app and to share them with friends. And businesses advertising with Lamar can participate in featured promotions at no extra charge.
