Spectrio, a Tampa-based provider of audio and digital display solutions, has developed and produced animations as part of an ongoing marketing campaign for Allied Building Products Corp., a nationwide, wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building materials.
The campaign is centered on providing Allied’s retail locations with graphics and video for its in-store promotional displays, outfitting its screens at its Hicksville, N.Y., Cleveland, Ohio, and East Rutherford, N.J., locations.
The campaign uses Spectrio’s VideoCast signage technology, which is developed for the promotional video screens in Allied’s locations. Allied supplied its own 42” screens for the newest locations and Spectrio was able to integrate with that hardware. Spectrio provided screens to Allied’s other locations.
For Allied, the most recent video includes moving graphics and images that showcase supplier videos, Allied company history, corporate message, product information and demonstrations. But this can change to highlight any specific outreach Allied desires. It could include seasonal products or special promotions.
For Allied, BrightAuthor management software by Brightsign is being used, although Spectrio’s business model is to use various suppliers, and to look at each application as unique to determine what will work best for the customer.
“With these new VideoCast installations, Spectrio is providing a unique digital signage solution to Allied Building,” says Aaron Kleinhandler, principal & CEO of Spectrio. “With the formation of each VideoCast at Allied’s locations in New York, Ohio and New Jersey, Spectrio is working closely with them to incorporate their personal message, advertising goal, and video footage into an enhanced multimedia customer experience”
Since 1996 Spectrio has also provided On-Hold Messaging for Allied Building as its preferred telephone audio vendor. Currently, Allied uses Spectrio’s on-hold messaging at all of its 180 retail locations
“As we began to develop this campaign to rollout video promotions within our stores, we realized that it made sense to work a trusted vendor who had the expertise in creating and maintaining video graphics and animations,” says Rick Rominger, national merchandising manager at Allied Building Products Corp. “As a legacy partner of Spectrio for the past 16 years, Spectrio became the obvious choice for this implementation, and we look forward to continuing our work with the company as we advance the project to more Allied locations.”
