El Segundo, California-based Fresh Juice Global (FJG), an eight-month-old, multi-sensory, immersive experience provider, has purchased Videro North America, giving FJG the exclusive rights to distribute/license the brand experience platform and software to all North American-based companies.

logo freshjuice globalNeal Lassila, president and CEO, Fresh Juice Global, says, “FJG opened its doors in May, 2012, to serve a retail/hospitality/restaurant marketplace that was eagerly seeking new and more effective ways to engage its customers. Our team of storytellers, technicians and magic-makers, in turn, were working with various platforms, many of which did not fully support our inventive, future-looking concepts.

“We’ve worked with Videro on some of our early projects, and soon realized the sheer power and versatility of their software. To us, it became a natural progression to make Videro and its enterprise level, quality software part of the Fresh Juice Global family.”

The move is rather a surprise. The German-based Videro moved into North America in 2010 and with its channel partner Edwards Technologies Inc. was behind the Disney Stores and their digital theatrical experiences, among others. However, it kept under the radar until Brian Hughes joined them in February, 2012, as vice-president sales, North America., with the role of recruiting ‘channel partners’ (ie. vendors) in the U.S. and Canada for Videro.

“The combination of Videro technology and Fresh Juice Global creativity is exactly what the retail and hospitality market has been waiting for,” says Johannes Büld, founder and CEO, Videro.

Hughes says, “We believe that this new partnership with Fresh Juice Global, along with the major brand contacts that Neal Lassila has in the industry, will accelerate our growth in the US.”

The cloud-based software-as-a-servce platform developed by Videro allows audio, video and live web content to control and distribute media show controls, sound systems and environmental settings. Videro drives compelling visuals, intuitive design and interactive connectivity in a system that synchronizes and synthesizes devices in real time.

Fresh Juice Global is a fully integrated provider of brand experiences for interiors and exteriors of retail, hotel and restaurant venues. From the creative to the operational side of messaging delivery, FJG claims to be unique in its approach and extensive resources.

Under this new relationship, FJG has purchased and retains all the marketing, sales and distribution rights for the Videro software in the US.. As a result, it will become the sole point of contact for all reseller software license orders, training, and pre- and post-sales technical support.

As experts in consumer experience, FJG is positioned to help prospective customers develop the value and business case needed to support Videro’s advance customer experience solution and to further excellerate Videro sales. In addition, Videro chose to enter into this relationship to provide Videro clients and resellers with an improved level of pre- and post- technical sales support. Clients and resellers will no longer have to deal with the eight-hour time zone difference currently experienced between the US and Videro Germany for this type of support short of Tier 3 technical issues

We are told a representative from FJG will be contacting Videro’s resellers to discuss their continued desire to resell the software and what that reseller relationship will look like going forward.

Hughes is leaving the company and will be looking for new opportunities. Prior to Video, he was channel manager for CoolSign (bought by Haivision) and then vice-president sales and business development for Creative Realities Inc..

Andrew Apfelberg of Greenberg Glusker represented FJG in the transaction. Hartmut Brandt of Rechtsanwalt represented Videro.
