E Ink and GDS have begun working together on both high and low resolution signage for indoor and outdoor usage. Initial products will be information displays designed for public transportation markets. Product roll out is targeted in the next few months.

Further news on GDS shows that the company recently brought a full line of high quality Hantarex Displays, a well-known Italian brand of professional display systems designed for digital advertising signage and transportation markets, to the North American Market. The products will be distributed and serviced from GDS’s Rockford, Illinois, facility.

“The acquisition of the Hantarex brand represents an important step forward for GDS in terms of growth,” says Giovanni Cariolato, CEO of GDS Group.

The Hantarex products range from rugged, yet stylish, advertising totems to elegant large format outdoor and semi-outdoor LCD monitors ideal for applicatons requiring 24/7 fail-proof operation under the harshest of environments.

The stylish Stele Fashion Line is intended for retail storefront installations where the environment demands the highest image quality and interactive features such as wireless connectivity and touch screen functions. The Retail Lite line is available in sizes ranging from 19” to 55”, boasting impressively thin enclosures and easy service.
