Nice IconOne digital poster from Symbicon Ltd. shown here on Viking Line (cruise lines) ship. The install on this pilot vessel (the Viking Line Mariella) was deployed back in September 2008 and we understand that the remaining vessels will be equipped with IconOne displays by the end of Q2, 2009.

The screens are being used for: –

• Advertising for the restaurants, and the Tax-Free shops.
• -Passenger information such as weather forecasts and news.
• Showing the exact GPS location of the vessel
• Replacement of paper based cruise programmes with touch screen

The pilot vessel has 14 x Icon46 Displays and teh remaining cruise ships will share an additional 70 units.

Viking Line has seven vessels, which sail between the Finnish mainland, Åland and Sweden as well as between Finland and the Baltic states. Operations include passenger services, recreation and cargo carrier services.
