At a special breakfast briefing event to be hosted at Dolby, The Screen will look at how digital is being used to transform the cinema going experience.

From mobile apps, to digital menu boards, ticket kiosks, digital foyer / screen advertising, digital projection and 3D sound – visiting the cinema has become a truly integrated, digital experience. The Screen will look at how different digital formats are evolving and how the roll out of digital projection infrastructure is enabling huge growth within the sector.

The session will assess the ever-expanding opportunities open to companies operating in this creative arena and the impact this will have on the cinema world.

Attendees will see and hear how London’s newest cinemas have become showcases for the best in display and digital-out-of-home-technology. They will hear brief presentations from key stakeholders and have time to network and discuss the points raised post event.

  • Joe Evea Commercial Director at DCM: Joe will discuss DCM’s approach to digital cinema advertising in the UK and how with the development of the new cinime app, DCM can connect more directly with the audience.
  • Louise Stubbings Agency Sales Director at Primesight: Louise will take us through the evolution of cinema advertising in the digital age and how the traditional media sales balance is changing.
  • Tom Dodgson Cinema Sales Manager for Dolby, Tom will showcase the power of sound in cinema, utilising the Dolby screening room’s state of the art Dolby Atmos system.
  • Major UK Cinema Exhibitor A major player in UK exhibition will discuss how cinema is utilising digital formats to transform venues and develop unique cinema going experiences.
