Top10 Digital Signage Vendors 2013

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

Whilst our (more) regularly updated list of top 30 Digital Signage vendors is the post that gets read 100’s times a day (and vendors on it are always happy to tell us that they receive leads, RFPs and web traffic from) we do like to filter that 30 down into a top #DSTop10 once a year.

BroadSign have once again, despite some bizarre marketing ‘moments’, continued to impress us and have retained top spot for the third year in a row.

The full #DSTop10, in order (with last year’s position in parentheses), is as follows: –

  1. BroadSign (1)
  2. STRATACACHE (5)
  3. Real Digital Media (4)
  4. SignageLive (2)
  5. Ayuda Media Systems (new entrant)
  6. Scala (6)
  7. ONELAN (new entrant)
  8. YCD Multimedia (10)
  9. Omnivex (=5)
  10. Four Winds Interactive (9)

It will surely be no surprise that, gone from the list is ComQi who have no business that we can see and WireSpring who have been far too quiet for our liking.

New to the list is ONELAN who have done a great job taking their established strength in education out to retail, employee communications and beyond.

Also new to the list is Ayuda Media Systems, who have convinced us that they are not just a North American business and have tremendous strength in depth.

Just outside the top ten were DISE, a Swedish startup we have spent a lot of time with and whose software, especially when it comes to complex videowalls has impressed us mightily.

It’s still too early to include RMG Networks (nee Symon’s software) in the list but expect that to change in the next 12 months as they bring their call centre centric solution to the rest of corporate communications (Digital IC as they call it) and possibly elsewhere.

    From ComQi’s homepage:
“ComQi has, again, come out on top. They are truly active on every continent and much more than just a software vendor. Their mature customer base and their new support for licensed music convinced us that once again they deserve top spot.”
