Retail Systems Forum 2009

Adrian J Cotterill, Editor-in-Chief

We spoke at this event last year (and even shared the stage with the Digital Signage Man Of The Year). It was a very well attended event and it even had ‘real’ retailers present !!!

Retail Systems Forum 2009 (RSF) is organised by Box Technologies and has been going for eight years now. In 2009 it takes place 13th -14th May at the prestigious Oxfordshire Country Golf Club and is free to attend.

This year the format is somewhat different to last, the event being divided into a Partners Day on 13th May and a Channel Partners Day on 14th May.

Gareth Aconley, Head of Marketing at Box Technologies told us “Significant to the event’s continued success is not only the opportunity it presents for delegates to network and discuss the best practices of new technology strategies with the leading hardware technology providers, but also the prospect to learn from the practical experiences of their peers within the industry through key note speakers and theatre presentations.”

Keynote speakers scheduled for the first day include Rene Batsford, Head of IT at EAT UK, Neil Applebee, Head of Process Improvement at ASDA and John Brill, Group IT Director of Mosaic Fashions.

Also speaking are Gary Hockey-Morley, Marketing Director at Post Office Ltd, who will be presenting Digital Signage: Developing Creativity to Capture the Audience, Ted Merdler, Head of Brand Engagement & Communication, Southern Co-operative Stores who will talking about how Southern Co-Operatives have seen the business benefit of using Digital Signage for more regional communications at a local level and Nick Powley who works for the Digital Signage Man Of The Year at Mediatile who will be focusing on Maximising the Return On Message in Store with Digital Signage.
