As someone who has been very critical of other people in their attempts to organise so-called ‘industry’ awards, I soon realised that the only way to overcome the issues, as I saw them, was to organise our own awards.

For those of you who know us well, we also thought we could have a lot of fun at the same time!

When it comes to awards, ‘Digital Out Of Home’ has, for some reason, either been perceived as a subcategory of the Audio/Visual industry, gets thrown alongside a Digital Signage exhibition or conference or else is an afterthought when it comes to general media or even outdoor awards.

Going forward, I firmly believe that these awards will raise the bar by recognising excellence and promote best practice in the industry.

The DailyDOOH Gala Awards take place on Thursday 28 November 2013 in London.
