#BigPic16: Tiny Bytes From The CEOs

Gail Chiasson, North American Editor

One of the best panels one could expect to have closed out the TAB/OAAA Conference and Expo in Boca Raton Wednesday Morning (Apr. 20/16) when (L-R below) Kevin Gleason, president & CEO, Adams + Fairway Outdoor; Scott Wells, CEO, Clear Channel Outdoor Americas; Jean-Luc Decaux, C-CEO, JCDecaux North America; Jeremy Male, chairman and CEO, OUTFRONT Media; and Sean Reilly, CEO, Lamar Advertising Company; took to the stage.

CEOs at TAB:OAAA

The CEOs were questioned by Helen Larkin, CEO, Posterscope USA.

A few of the many comments we heard from them:

“In 10 years, our structures will be interconnected.”

“In 10 years, we’ll be either off the grid or feeding the grid.”

“We should focus on the Advertiser, because everything you need to know is in the mind of the Advertiser. The next breakthrough will see marrying the advertisers’ expectations to our assets.”

(On whether advertising will stay flat for the next couple of years) “No, there will growth.”

“If our architecture is open, we can take whatever the advertiser wants.”

“We may see pay by campaign rather than the subscription model.”

(On seeing other media decline, how can we capitalize on that?) “We must band together.”

(How can we do a better job?) “Better standards.”

“The new measurement system developed by Geopath (TAB) will help.”
