Swiftmile has expanded their digital-out-of-home advertising network in Miami with new locations and an ad campaign promoting scooter safety, sponsored by Helbiz.

Transportation and safety have always gone hand-in-hand. This is no different for the micromobility industry. When the City of Miami Commission voiced their concerns for Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) safety, e-scooter operators were proactively prepared to address it.

One of the leaders bolstering Miami’s LEV safety is e-scooter operator Helbiz. The global micromobility company remains one of the few scooter operators in Miami because of their commitment to the safety concerns voiced by the City. By ensuring helmet usage via selfie verification on their app and employing “safety ambassadors” to educate riders, Helbiz did not hesitate to invest in safety. In addition to that, Helbiz introduces “beginner mode” for their scooters to top off at a lower speed for new riders on the app.

To reach the citizens of Miami, Helbiz has launched an advertising campaign with Swiftmile. Working in tandem with Swiftmile’s digital-out-of-home network, Helbiz promotes rider safety with clear instructions on the screens. A majority of Swiftmile’s ten advertising screens throughout Miami are attached to scooter charging infrastructure and will present the safety message to riders when they unlock a scooter at the station.

Vivian Myrtetus, Head of Partnerships and Policy at Helbiz told us “From launching a one-of-a-kind helmet selfie feature to expanding our neighborhood safety teams and distributing thousands of helmets, safety is a top priority at Helbiz. We’re always looking for ways to implement added safety measures. Partnering with Swiftmile helps us reach riders where they are before they ever open the Helbiz app or unlock a scooter.”

A burgeoning Swiftmile retail network also brings advertising screens to windows of Miami’s small businesses, where the store owners will share in a portion of the advertising revenue. Swiftmile brings many benefits to the city from helping small businesses to promoting non-profits that are essential to the community. In the case of Helbiz, Swiftmile is proud to work with a company that promotes education and reinforces rules for proper riding. The digital messaging in addition to the in-app instructions help keep the riders and commuters safe.

Swiftmile’s network of advertising screens will share transit information and public service announcements, as well as promotions from local businesses in the vicinity. Swiftmile can also help spread emergency information, Amber Alerts, and other vital messages.
