Vision Media in new shopping mall deals seen adding 7 mln pounds to annual sales

LONDON (Thomson Financial) – Vision Media Group (International) Plc. (VMG) said it has agreed or signed contracts with shopping mall owners that will more than double the size of its UK network and increase sales by 7 million pounds per year.

The outdoor media contractor said the contracts will add a further 33 shopping malls to the VMG estate and bring the total number of malls to 57.

It said the enlarged VMG media inventory now represents a total gross annual advertising sales value of 25 million pounds, enabling total possible gross advertising sales to a value of around 200 million pounds over the life of the contracts.

57 Malls is a pretty impressive number and a lot more than we originally thought. With Clear Channel Outdoor UK on board to do the media sales, as long as these guys can get digital portrait panels out there fast enough then this is a very exciting development for the UK digital screen network business.

Just think what ‘good’ they could have done in the industry if they had also managed to purchase the Avanti Screenmedia network when they were in talks last month!!!
