AOpen Joins Microsoft At Embedded World 2012

Regular readers will know that we’ve never been the biggest supporters of Microsoft Windoze used within digital signage. Bryan Crotaz’s excellent article ‘Using Windows As A Signage Platform‘ demonstrates how many of the ‘wrongs’ that we can see can be avoided and having said that, we actually quite enjoyed the Microsoft Embedded talk at the recent #AOpenForum in Amsterdam and learnt a lot during that session.

AOpen obviously don’t agree with us at all about Windoze and further proof how embedded they are with Microsoft (geddit?) is the partnership they have and will be demonstrating this week at the Embedded World 2012 event in Germany.

At Embedded World, AOpen will be demonstrating the latest AOpen Digital Engine DE67-HA that includes support for the Intel 2nd Generation Core Processor Family i3, i5 and i7.

We are told that it is the strongest and most powerful AOpen Digital Engine to date and is also connectable to multiple displays while maintaining (quality) performance.

AOpen will be on the Microsoft booth (Hall 11, Booth 318) in Nürnberg, Germany.
