Following on from “KineticWW’s Top 10 Digital OOH Formats” kindly put together for us by Ivan Clark back in May we are now again, exclusively able to bring you Ivan’s top 10 ‘most interesting use of digital OOH’ during June 2008.
This is Ivan’s view of the world using the Kinetic Worldwide network of course.
As usual we even have a short video preview of the top 10 that you can see on our – DailyDOOH SHOWCASE – feature, main page of web site (rotated in RECTANGLE banner ad space)

- London Heathrow T5 – Nokia Multimedia Towers – is this art or advertising?
The combination of multimedia content, controlled from their retail outlet at T5 creates an innovative blend of art and advertising message.
- Shanghai – LED boat – Bulgari
What a way to create stunning impact around the extremely busy Shanghai harbour, simple idea massively effective.
- Stockholm Stureplanskärm – AdCityMedia – LED screen – DN (major newspaper)
DN relaunched the weekend web site. They used the biggest TV screen in the centre of the Stockholm Night life (in Stureplan, a public square in central Stockholm). With a gigantic computer mouse, it was possible for the audience to try the new web live on the big screen
- Los Angeles – Sidetrack – Warner Bros Speedracer
This technology gets more impactful all the time. The best example of Sidetrack seen yet.
- Berlin and Cologne – Coca Cola – Euro 2008
Multi-location, best digital formats, multiple copy get the message home to Euro 2008 football fans.
- London Heathrow T5 – JCDecaux airport – American Express proximity retail LCD
American Express took advantage of JCDecaux Airport’s digital network at Terminal 5 to drive home their retail message. The screens stretch the whole length of the concourse, using the dynamic nature of digital to show specific adverts outside specific units: for example, the Thomas Pink creative was shown only outside the Thomas Pink store. This synchronicity between the environment and the advertising makes airport digital one of the most compelling media platforms available in Out Of Home.
- Spain – Barcelona and Madrid – Shopping centres
The widest range of digital formats we have seen in malls or shopping centres worldwide, attention has been paid to the audience
- Singapore Changi T3 – Eye Screen – United Overseas Bank (UOB)
The pioneer in large format digital signage in airports, fantastic eye-catching United Overseas Bank (UOB) using an Audi R8
- Zurich Mainstation eBoard
Top quality giant LED, top location during Euro 2008, blue chip clients keep the medium premium
- Berlin – Canon
High-impact giant LED screens running multiple copy to highlight the stunning image quality of this Canon camcorder.
