Ingram Micro Inc.’s (NYSE: IM) Digital Signage Division today announced a broader alliance with BroadSign and the offering of ‘Digital Signage Kits; aimed at offering resellers a turnkey approach to selling digital signage solutions to both Enterprise and Small and Mid-size Businesses in North America.
This is a similar strategy as what SignageLive are doing with their distribution and VAR deals and it will be interesting to see what happens when they go head to head as surely they will, when BroadSign announces a similar deal in Europe and Signagelive gets up to speed in the US.
Ingram are however IT based and not AV and it will be interesting to see how well they manage to get IT folks to move large screens.
